Aasim Saied Complete Bio

When the dogs call, Aasim Saied answers. This Buffalo, New York native answered the call of the dogs and hasn't looked back since. Saied has always loved dogs. In fact, when he was a little boy, he had cornered the market on dog walking in his neighborhood. After school every day, he made the rounds to his neighbor's homes to take the hounds out for their afternoon walk. After ten years of dog walking, Saied was able to buy a brand new car to take to college.

Aasim Saied's life hasn't always been all about the dogs. He attended the University of Connecticut where he obtained his Bachelor's degree. Shortly after graduation, Aasim Saied moved to New York City and landed an entry level job in Advertising. He worked his way up the corporate ladder and before he left to be an advocate for homeless pets, he was the Creative Director at a major Madison Avenue Ad Agency.

When asked why he jumped off the corporate merry go round, Aasim Saied has been quoted as saying "It all crystallized for me during the Michael Vick dog fighting scandal." Saied left his corporate gig to start his own boutique Advertising and Public Relations firm. Running his own business has left Saied with enough leeway in his days to also be the point person for a number of dog rescue groups. When a call comes in that a dog is in trouble, Aasim Saied is out the door and on his way to rescue the dog.

It might come as a surprise to learn that Saied only has one dog of his own. His border collie Midge, is his constant companion and mascot to his business. As Aasim Saied points out "I have one full time dog, my darling Midge. But there is almost always a foster dog living with us while I try to find them a forever home." Aasim Saied has been honored by the State of New York for his efforts to stamp out homelessness amongst pets. He is a fierce advocate of the No Kill Shelter movement.

Aasim Saied's devotion to dogs is admirable. As an advocate for dogs, he has been instrumental in the introduction of legislation to regulate dog breeders and drive puppy mills out of business. He has geared Saied Advertising and PR towards not only blue chip clients but also pro-bono clients in the dog rescue realm. Saied is working with the Greater New York SPCA on a grand gala fundraiser, the proceeds of which would go towards medical bills and training bills for homeless pets to get them ready to go to their forever home. Aasim Saied surely has a spot in dog heaven awaiting him. His passion for protecting the rights of dogs is admirable. Saied and Midge can often be found jogging in Central Park.
